Malik Nabers in middle of latest Giants-Lions practice scuffle - ESPN

The New York Giants have been forced to put up with a poor passing attack for some time now, but those times may be coming to an end, at least partially.

They have a rookie wide receiver named Malik Nabers who made waves at Louisiana State University the previous season and continues to do so so far in training camp.

Even Odell Beckham Jr., the Giants’ former top receiver, did not perform as well as Nabers during training camp, according to Connor Hughes, who covers the Giants and Jets for SNY, according to Giants Videos.

Nabers, the sixth overall pick in the April draft, was selected to the All-SEC First Team after catching 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns in the previous campaign.

He might provide New York with their first real game-changing wide receiver since Beckham left the organization at the end of the 2018 season.

Last year, New York failed to produce yardage and scores throughout the season, finishing 28th in passing touchdowns, 30th in points, and 31st in passing yards.

Malik Nabers keeps on impressing as Giants practices take heated turn

Due to an ACL tear, starter quarterback Daniel Jones was limited to just six games, forcing them to deploy three different starting quarterbacks overall.

There is some hope that Nabers’ presence can help Jones, who has been a failure in his five NFL seasons, increase his output. Additionally, the Giants may have the makings of a competitive club in the near future.
