Breaking: Giants key player leaves practice on Wednesday with an apparent injury.

NFL: Las Vegas Raiders tackle Morris Knolls Jermaine Eluemunor

After a terribly disastrous season in 2023, the New York Giants are making a frantic effort to turn things around in 2024, and everything is riding on quarterback Daniel Jones’ performance.

In March of last year, the Giants signed Jones to a four-year contract potentially worth up to $160 million, following his greatest season of his career in 2022.

However, Jones made a significant mistake in 2023.

In addition to regressing from his career-best season in 2022, he also sustained his second serious neck injury and tore his ACL in Week 9.

“He’s doing fairly well. He’s advanced to the point where he can run in a pool now, Schoen said on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Thursday. “He works pretty hard in there every day. I’ve said it before: you have to set him aside because he is a youngster.

He is (in there) with the others that work out early in the morning. By six thirty, he’s inside. He is currently working out each day. He will thus put in a lot of effort in it.

Jones is prepared for action as the first day of training camp gets underway.

The New York Giants chose to stick with Jones for a more season and selected explosive LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers with the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft in April rather than selecting a quarterback.

Naturally, Schoen and the Giants management strengthened the offensive line in the winter to provide Jones with the maximum amount of protection feasible before 2024.

Giants OL Jermaine Eluemunor Leaves Practice Early with Upper Body Injury

The Giants signed Jermaine Eluemunor, a former Raiders left tackle, as one of their top free agent additions in addition to Jon Runayn Jr. Carmen Bricillo, the offensive line coach, loves him, and he was supposed to start at guard this season. Just a year ago, one of the worst offensive lines in football history was supposed to be strengthened by his signing.

In his first training camp practice as a member of the New York Giants, Jermaine Eluemunor moved outside to right tackle, replacing Evan Neal, who was placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

That quickly came to an end.

Eluemunor suffered an unexplained injury during the last half of Wednesday’s practice, and he needed assistance from head athletic trainer Ronnie Barnes and left tackle Andrew Thomas to get back up.

Eluemunor was encircled by several trainers on the sidelines, and ultimately, they asked for the cart. However, the seasoned player ignored them and made his way back inside the building on his own.

Connor Hughes, a Giants reporter, observed that there appeared to be an apparent damage to the arm, but at this stage, all of this is conjecture.

This summer, the 29-year-old inked a $14 million, two-year contract with the New York Giants.

As the Giants attempt to reassemble one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, Eluemunor’s absence would undoubtedly be devastating. Giants supporters are crossing their fingers and hope for the best in the interim while more details become available in the next several days.
