According to court records that TMZ was able to get, Patrick Mahomes Sr. allegedly received a ticket on June 29 for operating a vehicle in Texas while his license was suspended.

Less than five months have passed since his third DWI accusation, which was filed in Texas and for which he will go on trial later this month. Mahomes Sr. may be sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in jail and a fine of $10,000 for the DWI.

How or whether this additional citation will affect the earlier case is yet unknown.

According to documents, Mahomes Sr. was first pulled over for a routine infraction, but he also received a warning for allegedly ignoring traffic signs in addition to the ticket for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

According to TMZ, “it’s not clear if Mahomes Sr.’s license had been suspended or revoked due to his most recent DWI arrest.” Regarding the current state of affairs, a representative for the Smith County Criminal District Attorney’s Office declined to comment to TMZ.

Mahomes Sr.’s most recent incident is undoubtedly unrelated to the Chiefs, but it does add to a lengthy list of offseason problems that are at least somewhat connected to the team. These issues include Rashee Rice’s legal troubles, two other players’ misdemeanor arrests, and the two arrests that followed DT Isaiah Buggs’ release.
