Breaking: Georgia 4-Star Prospect Disqualified From Football Following……
A young Georgia Bulldog is anticipated to retire medically on Wednesday. It is always heartbreaking to see a player end their career early.
Former Four-Star Prospect From Georgia Is About to Retire
Kelton Smith, an offensive lineman, is taking a medical disqualification and retiring from football, according to Jake Rowe of DwagsHQ.
Smith said, “Persons with knowledge of the situation indicate that there are multiple issues, but details regarding the specific ailments Smith is dealing with are unavailable at this time.”
Smith, a 2023 high school graduate from Columbus, Georgia, was a four-star prospect. He was the 17th-best player in Georgia overall and the eighth-ranked interior offensive lineman in the 2023 class, according to 247sports.com.
The former native of Georgia never saw action with the Bulldogs in the previous campaign. Unfortunately, Smith becomes the second Bulldog to retire this season for health-related reasons, following tight end Pearce Spurlin, who did so because of a heart condition.
Here are some of the responses from Bulldog supporters to the tragic news, and they are all wishing Smith the best.
