The 38-year-old will stay at Goodison Park even though his current contract is scheduled to expire at the end of next month.
Everton, whose manager Sean Dyche much respects the player’s expertise and ability, has extended an offer to Young for another year.
It has been agreed upon in principle, and he is anticipated to sign documents shortly.
The versatile wide player, who can play either flank as a winger or full-back, made 31 Premier League matches in 2023–2024, starting 27 of them.
Young has played in 453 Premier League games in his career and has a wealth of experience in the highest division of English football, having played for Watford, Manchester United, and Aston Villa.
