Breaking: Texans close to sign in three top five-star players in a blockbuster deal after ……..

Football will end': Why Dalton Risner cares about so much more than the sport that may soon make him millions | K-State Sports | themercury.com

These three free agents are still available after the 2024 NFL Draft and might make a big impact for the Texans right away.

One of the NFL’s hottest teams right now is the Houston Texans. The Texans have emerged as an AFC contender under head coach DeMeco Ryans and quarterback CJ Stroud. The squad will try to surpass those expectations in 2024 after winning its first playoff game SINCE in 2023. The management administration in Houston has been working diligently to make sure the Texans have all the offensive power required for a deep postseason run.

Free agency is where it all begins. Danielle Hunter was signed to a massive contract by the Texans to play alongside Will Anderson. Additionally, they added a few depth players to the secondary and kept Desmond King II and Dalton Schultz, two of the team’s main contributors from 2023.

Additionally, the Texans selected some quality players in the NFL Draft of 2024. In the second round, Houston selected T Blake Fisher and CB Kamari Lassiter. They also grabbed tight end Cade Stover and safety Calen Bullock, two nice mid-round picks.

In order to add veteran talent, Houston also executed some amazing transactions. They got Ben Skowronek from the Rams, Joe Mixon from the Bengals, and Stefon Diggs from the Bills.

Although the Texans have recruited a ton of talent, work still needs to be done. The Texans should think about signing any one of these three guys this offseason to add depth at important spots.

G. Dalton Risner
During his tenure in the NFL, Dalton Risner has proven to be a reliable guard.

Before playing for the Minnesota Vikings in 2023, he spent four seasons as a starter for the Denver Broncos.

Calais Campbell's NFL career winding down, but ex-Jaguar still impactful

Even though Risner isn’t the league’s most gifted guard, he yet plays well enough to be at least a highly sought-after backup. Kenyon Green and Shaq Mason are currently expected to start at guard for Houston, with very little depth behind them. With this team, Risner might easily prevail in a camp brawl.

To safeguard CJ Stroud and aid in setting up the ground game for Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce, the Texans would be well-advised to invest in Risner. Although Risner can block runs well, his best position is in pass protection, which should make him a valuable asset for Houston.

DT Calais Campbell
Calais Campbell is a player that you could easily suggest to any team in the league.

For the Falcons in 2023, the 37-year-old (!) veteran was a dependable player. For Atlanta, he recorded 56 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

The top defensive tackles for the Texans right now are Tim Settle, Mario Edwards Jr., Denico Autry, and Foley Fatukasi. While Campbell is a good pass rusher, none of these players are particularly good at it, so there may be room on the team for him.

By adding Campbell, the d-line would have a veteran presence inside and its floor would be considerably raised.

Quandre Diggs | National Football League, News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report

Quandre Diggs – S
Among the league’s most dependable safeties is Quandre Diggs. While it might not be ostentatious, that quality is unique.

The classic free safety is the enduring Lion and Seahawk. He is a confident and cooperative tackler who excels in covering.

Diggs possesses a remarkable quality that stands out: he is durable. Since 2020, Diggs has participated in over 1,000 snaps per season. He has demonstrated that he can play at a respectable level and manage a heavy workload.

Diggs was waived by the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the summer in order to save contract space. That shouldn’t be interpreted as a criticism on Diggs’ ability to be cautious.

In addition to his contributions on the football, Diggs’ experience off the field makes him a valuable asset. By signing Diggs, the team would have an experienced free safety on the roster who could serve as a mentor to kids like Calen Bullock and Jalen Pitre.

It seems like the Texans made the right choice in signing Diggs.
