LSU's Malik Nabers named finalist for Biletnikoff Award – Crescent City Sports

The goal of the New York Giants is to give Daniel Jones every chance to prove that he was worthy of the absurd extension the team offered him during the previous offseason. Malik Nabers, an electrifying wide receiver, was awarded to Jones by the Giants in the 2024 NFL Draft. Jones would have another useful target in the form of Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report’s latest trade proposal.

Malik Nabers was a huge addition to the New York Giants’ wide receiver corps.

With Allen Robinson, Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Nabers, the Giants will have a respectable receiving group. The Giants aren’t sure, though, if tight end Darren Waller will announce his retirement before to the start of the year. Remember that the dynamic running back Saquon Barkley left the Giants in free agency?

It is suggested that the Giants trade Treylon Burks to the Tennessee Titans.

Ballentine believes Treylon Burks, a former first-round choice, may be acquired by the Giants through a trade with the Tennessee Titans. With the addition of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to the lineup this summer to partner with DeAndre Hopkins, Burks won’t be as much needed in Tennessee:

It would make sense to transfer to a different team, such as the New York Giants, who are currently attempting to figure out their receiving corps. Daniel Jones replacing Levis might be a step backward, but the Giants currently need depth at wide receiver.

Malik Nabers, a rookie, is expected to be their top receiver. The second choice would be Darius Slayton, but he is presently not participating in OTAs as he negotiates a new deal with the G-Men.

The Giants are hoping a lot of their young players will succeed this season. Burks’ addition would give them another viable body type in the space. The former Razorback is significantly larger than players like Wan’Dale Robinson (5’8″, 185) and Jalin Hyatt (6’0″, 185) at 6’2″, 225 pounds.

In New York, there would be far less competition, but Burks would still need to fight for reps and targets.

Ballentine’s Trade Offer

The Giants acquire Treylon Burks.
Titans are awarded a sixth-round pick in 2025.
The Giants wouldn’t have to give up much for a player with that much potential—a Day 3 pick. A player who hadn’t reached his full ability would fetch the Titans a meager settlement.

In New York, Burks would have a greater chance of staying in the game. This season, Jones might gain by having another excellent receiver to target. In 2022, Burks had his greatest season as a rookie, catching 33 catches for 665 yards and one touchdown. But it’s important to keep in mind that since he’s joined the league, the Titans haven’t had the best quarterback situation.

Naturally, Burks may not consider the quarterbacks on the Giants’ roster to be a significant improvement over what he endured with the Titans.
