Arkansas wants to continue to be a contender for the top spot in the Natural State.

Four-star lineman Carius Curne of Marion, Arkansas, de-committed from Arkansas on March 25. Despite this, the Razorbacks are still in the running and will soon receive an official visit.

Curne, 6-4, 301, posted an Instagram story on Wednesday night announcing his official visit date of June 7-9. Curne decommitted from the Razorbacks early this spring, and LSU received three Crystal Ball predictions as a result.

Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and a few other schools are also on Curne’s list of offers. After an unofficial visit with Brian Kelly and LSU in late March, the gifted two-way recruit retracted his pledge to Arkansas.

Curne ranks first in his home state, 182nd overall in the US, and 21st among offensive tackle prospects, according to 247Sports. Curne is ranked even higher in the industry-generated Composite rankings, coming in at number 104 overall, tenth among offensive tackles, and first overall in the Natural State.

In November, Curne received a thorough analysis from Hudson Standish, a national analyst for 247Sports:

“A strong two-way lineman who attracted attention from recruiters on both sides of the ball, he made his debut in the collegiate summer camp circuit between his sophomore and junior years. demonstrates remarkable mobility at offensive tackle. has important two-way snaps on both scrimmage lines. As a junior in high school, he stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 300 pounds, almost ready-to-play size, with enough length to play outside or switch to a guard position. Both defensive line coach Deke Adams and offensive line coach Eric Mateos of Arkansas are recruiting Curne.

Maumelle, Arkansas, is home to five verbal commitments from Arkansas’s 57th-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. The Heart of Arkansas Grayson Wilson, a Christian quarterback; Markeylin Batton, a running back from Atlanta; Jayden Shelton, a linebacker from South Oak Cliff, Texas; Taijh Overton, a safety from Mobile, Alabama; and Evan Noel, a kicker from Bay St. Louis, Miss.

On the same day that Curne made his announcement, the Razorbacks lost two commitments: on March 25, Cardinal Ritter also renounced his pledge, and four-star running back Jamarion Parker of St. Louis, Mo.

Curne’s visit weekend is expected to be another significant one for the Hogs, as official visits are planned by Composite four-star safety Omarion Robinson of Little Rock, Arkansas (Parkview), four-star running back Kiandrea Barker of Beebe, Arkansas, and unranked offensive tackle Mark Handy of Albuquerque, New Mexico (La Cueva).

Earlier this week, Barker was offered by the Razorbacks.
