Thousands of college football players sign up through the NCAA transfer site every summer, as player turnover is at an all-time high. On Monday night, UCF landed a significant addition as the Knights landed a former five-star wide receiver.

According to reports, Agiye Hall, a former wide receiver for Texas and Alabama, will enroll at UCF as a walk-on, handing head coach Gus Malzahn another victory via the transfer portal.

Hall was a former Valrico, Florida, native and five-star recruit. According to On3, he was the top wide receiver and the 11th overall prospect in the class of 2021. After playing for the Crimson Tide for just one season, he later transferred to Texas.

Hall has only managed five receptions for 79 receiving yards over his first two seasons in college, split between the Crimson Tide and the Longhorns. He has also failed to hit the end zone. Agiye and the Knights both hope that Agiye’s move to Orlando will enable him to develop into the collegiate football player that many predicted he would be when he graduated from high school.

The SEC Network commentator, seated opposite from ESPN analyst Nick Saban, was able to reveal information to the Alabama football coach that he was unable to share with Saban.

Following his round at the Regions Tradition Pro-Am on Wednesday, Finebaum said, “I can reveal it now,” in an interview with Saban for “The Paul Finebaum Show.” “The interview wasn’t the easiest with you,”

Saban did not flinch.

He said, “Well, let me just tell you. Remember when I tried to teach you how to pay defensive back when I first arrived to Alabama? You’re also not the easiest guy to coach.

“As of this hour, I’m only seven national championships behind you, but the day is young,” Finebaum shrugged in response.

Of course, the two had gotten into trouble before. There were arguably none more noteworthy than SEC Media Days in 2016. When Finebaum criticized Saban’s handling of the offseason arrests of star offensive tackle Cam Robinson and defensive back Hootie Jones, things heated up on the SEC Network set.

Even after the accusations against the two players were dismissed, Finebaum was accused by Saban of trying to use the media to convict them. When the show cut to a commercial break, Saban got to his feet and, in front of the cameras, threw tantrums at Finebaum. Michael Casagrande of AL.com was able to record a portion of the conversation.
