Sad news: Tennessee football out on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25.
Tennessee football was not featured on the cover of the most recent EA Sports game, which was leaked on the PlayStation Store. This summer will see the release of College Football 25, and while the Deluxe Edition cover has been widely circulated on college football social media, it does not feature the Vols.
Tennessee will undoubtedly appear in the upcoming college football video game, which has fans thrilled to see the game return after more than ten years. Donovan Edwards, a running back from Michigan, Travis Hunter, an athlete from Colorado, and quarterback Quinn Ewers of Texas are featured on the deluxe edition cover.
In the background, there are many teams with flags, jerseys, and helmets, as well as a few more players.
Other SEC programs including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn are included on the cover if you look closely. Additionally, an Iowa flag can be seen in the backdrop; Tennessee defeated Iowa 35-0 to close the 2023 season.
It’s not possible to include every team, of course, but it is a little depressing that Tennessee will not be represented in
the most eagerly awaited sporting event of the decade. EA Sports stated on Friday that the game’s base version will have a different cover and that this is merely the deluxe version.
Though it would make more sense if one player was featured on the game’s main cover, we will see that cover on Thursday, May 16. Tennessee might be on it. Do you believe the upcoming college football video game should or will feature a Tennessee player, or even just a helmet or flag?

A linebacker for Tennessee football moves throughout the Volunteer state
Elijah Herring, a linebacker for Tennessee football, is one of four players from Josh Heupel’s team to join the transfer portal in the spring window. This spring, Herring was joined in the portal by cornerback Cristian Conyer, defensive lineman Camron Douglas, and cornerback Malik Ganaway.
Herring joined the transfer portal as a three-star transfer after graduating from high school as a three-star recruit. He is ranked 296th overall and as the 23rd-best linebacker in the spring portal.
As a sophomore, Herring had a lot of defensive responsibilities for the Vols. At the end of his second season on Rocky Top, he had one sack, one pass deflection, and 79 tackles. He had the option to return to Tennessee’s elite linebacker room for his junior season, but he made the decision to go via the transfer portal.
Herring discovered his new home across the Volunteer State via the gateway. He declared his commitment to the Memphis Tigers on Friday. For the next two seasons, the 6-foot-3, 238-pound linebacker may be a game-changer for the Tigers and a dominant force in the AAC.
I was a little surprised by Herring’s transfer when he logged into the site. At least it appeared like he would have played for the Vols this season, so losing him hurt Tennessee’s defensive depth and experience.
After the 2024 season with Memphis, the native of Newburn, Georgia, and a graduate of Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, will now have experience playing in every region of the state. Herring’s pledge to the Tigers came after they defeated Colorado, and he will be the 23rd player signed by Memphis this recruiting cycle.
