News now: De’Aaron Fox Reportedly fight with Former Teammate of the Sacramento Kings
De’Aaron Fox unfollowed a former teammate, via NBA Alerts.
De’Aaron Fox, who recently finished another incredibly fruitful season, has established himself as one of the NBA’s finest point guards.
In 74 games, the former Kentucky standout averaged 26.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 36.9% from three-point range and 46.5% from the field.
He is one of the most well-liked players in the league and has over 332,000 followers on X.
Fox unfollowed Garrett Temple, his former teammate, on April 29, according to a tip from NBA Alerts, an account that keeps track of social media activity across the league.
Temple was Fox’s teammate in the 2017–18 campaign and played for the Kings for two seasons.
The Kings finished 27–55 that year and were not in the NBA playoffs.
Temple was a member of the Toronto Raptors this past season.
In 27 games (two starts), he shot 30.0% from three-point range and 37.2% from the field, averaging 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.
After a difficult season in which they went 25–57, the Raptors emerged as the Eastern Conference’s 12th seed.
Regarding Fox, he guided the Kings to the NBA playoffs in 2023—the first postseason appearance for the team since 2006.
They did not, however, make it to the NBA Finals in 2024.
With a 46-36 record, the Kings concluded as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
They lost to the New Orleans Pelicans in their second play-in tournament game after defeating the Golden State Warriors in the first.

The Sacramento Kings are anticipated to have a busy 2024 summer with a possible roster change outside of their star duo of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, following a calm 2023 off-season. Losing talented sixth man Malik Monk to a team willing to pay him more than Sacramento can will probably be the biggest impact.
The Orlando Magic, who are currently playing in a tough first-round matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers after having their greatest regular season in thirteen years, are one team that has been the subject of Monk speculations.
Orlando ended in the bottom ten offensively this season, but they had the third-best defensive rating in the league. According to Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report, Monk might be the right player for a team in need of more offensive firepower in free agency.
“Malik Monk profiles as a clean fit, even if the Magic should be careful about overspending on a player who showed out during a contract year,” says Hughes. “Despite shooting just 35.0 percent from beyond the arc, he led the league in assists on drives (at least 6.0 per game). Orlando’s lack of backcourt support is just as much of a weakness as their shooting. The latter is better addressed by Monk than by most other choices. The Magic should have little trouble surpassing the $78 million cap that the Sacramento Kings are only permitted to provide for four years.”
Monk concluded his seventh season in the league with all-time highs. Monk’s season was cut short by an MCL sprain, despite his averaging of 15.4 points and 5.1 assists per game.
The Magic are a fantastic club with a bright future, so if they make him a big enough offer, it will be difficult for Monk to refuse, even though he has made it plain that his free agency decision is not only about the money. Sacramento should make every effort to re-sign Monk, but Kings supporters will have to accept the loss of their beloved sixth man.
