Ra’Heim Moss joins the Oregon Ducks, eager to make his Big Ten debut and show off his scoring and defensive prowess.

Ra’Heim Moss, a superb four-star guard according to Rivals’ transfer ratings, has boosted Coach Dana Altman’s Oregon Ducks basketball club as they get ready for their inaugural Big Ten campaign.

Moss, an Ohio native from Springfield, officially moved to Oregon after weighing offers from Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss.

Moss established himself as a dynamic and strong guard at Toledo. After finishing his junior year with stellar averages of 15.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, he was named to the first team of the MAC.

He showed steady play during his three-year Rockets tenure, shooting 46.0 percent from the field and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line. Due to his exceptional defensive play, he was named to the MAC All-Defensive Team in 2021–2022 and the All-MAC Freshman Team in 2022–2023.

Moss will have plenty of opportunities to play near his Midwestern origins thanks to his move to Oregon, which coincides with the Ducks’ preparations to enter the Big Ten.

Moss is ready to fight for the starting guard position that Jermaine Couisnard’s graduation has created, and he wants to immediately establish himself in a conference that is extremely tough.

Before the spring football season began, concerns existed about the defensive line because of the injuries to Taki Taimani, Popo Auamavae, Casey Rogers, and Brandon Dorlus. With five sacks and an interception, the defenses of the White Team and the Green Team both performed admirably overall.

Following the game, Lanning declared, “You have to win it in the front, you know, both sides of the ball, if you want to win football games.” “I’m really happy about the guys in that group.” I anticipate that a few young men will take the lead and play larger roles than they did the previous year, but there is also a group on both sides that we can keep growing.
