Arizona transfer Oumar Ballo commits to Indiana - Inside the Hall | Indiana Hoosiers Basketball News, Recruiting and Analysis

In a true blueblood competition, UNC basketball is trying to sign a transfer with transfer talent in shooting.

The transfer portal has linked a number of names to the UNC basketball staff thus far, but no pledges have been made. Before committing to another team, players like Oumar Ballo, Aaron Bradshaw, and Danny Wolf have given the Tar Heels some thought. However, UNC head coach Hubert Davis is still making an effort to re-fill positions on his 2024–25 roster.

Brea’s list includes outstanding programs at Kansas, Kentucky, UConn, and UNC’s bitter rival, Duke, which is located eight miles away. UNC is hardly the only blueblood program on the list. The 6-foot-6 guard is expected to start setting up visits in the next few days after concluding his Zoom sessions with all five colleges.

Aaron Bradshaw: Should Kentucky freshman return or enter NBA draft?

With one year left on her eligibility, Brea, who spent four seasons playing for Dayton before using the transfer portal, led collegiate basketball in 3-point percentage last year. The former Flyer finished the season with a nearly 50% clip, making 100 of his 201 attempts from beyond the arc.

Playing mostly off the bench for the Atlantic 10 Tournament winners, Koby Brea averaged 11.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists across 33 games.

The 21-year-old transfer might be a crucial addition for the Tar Heels, who will be without Elliot Cadeau in the backcourt. However, a lot will rely on how star guard RJ Davis decides to use him.

Three starters from last year’s squad have left UNC basketball, while a transfer has not yet been formally accepted. They seem to be the front-runners for Cade Tyson, a Belmont transfer, who was given a Crystal Ball prediction by 247Sports for the Tar Heels this past weekend.

Is there a possibility that Harrison Ingram may go back to North Carolina?

Though he seems fully committed to going on, the junior recently declared for the NBA Draft. However, there is a remote chance he would return to college.

Harrison Ingram appeared to be fully committed to pursue a professional career when he made his announcement on social media on Saturday that he was entering the NBA Draft.

UNC basketball forward Harrison Ingram declares for 2024 NBA draft

There was a ray of optimism that the UNC basketball star would make a comeback to Chapel Hill on Monday, thanks to a well-known college basketball pundit.

According to Jon Rothstein, Ingram does, in fact, plan to stay in the 2024 NBA Draft, but he will continue to be eligible to attend college throughout that time.

Interesting.

“What are the chances that Harrison Ingram does return to North Carolina?” is a question you may be wondering now.

From what we know, the likelihood is low.

Actually, this is a wise move on the part of Ingram. He will have a few weeks to make a solid decision about his future plans, so keeping his collegiate eligibility as a safety net while he considers his professional options doesn’t harm.

That doesn’t exactly help the UNC basketball program assemble a team for the upcoming campaign, but you have to figure Hubert Davis and his staff are assembling a team without No. 55 at this point.

Don’t anticipate Harrison Ingram to rejoin the UNC basketball team for another season before you get your hopes up. Harrison Ingram is ready to put his money on himself and start his professional career, even though we’d all love to see him back on campus for another season. In fact, there’s probably less than a 5% chance that it actually happens. That is, unless everything goes completely wrong for him during the NBA Draft process over the next few weeks.

Though not necessarily something to get your hopes up, this is something to keep in mind.
